Founded in 2016 in New Orleans, the National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane’s is a two-day outdoor festival bringing together hundreds of thousands from across the nation around a shared love of great food, music, and culture. Last fall the festival attracted a record-breaking 123,000 attendees from across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and the entire U.S. to celebrate and enjoy the iconic Southern dish, earning FCF the #6 spot on the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards list of top Speciality Food Festivals.
FCF will be back in 2024 with all the things guests have come to know and love, including a wide variety of world-class dishes from over 40 participating restaurants, all-day entertainment from renowned musicians, multiple 21+ VIP options, including a multi-access lounge and new unlimited Beer Garden, large-scale sponsor activations, family-friendly games and activities, share-worthy photo ops, and much more throughout the weekend.
Each restaurant will have the opportunity to compete for bragging rights in the festival’s four food competitions: “Best Fried Chicken,” “Best Use of Chicken in a Dish,” “Best Chicken Sandwich,” and new this year, the “People’s Choice Award” voted on by the public each day. Back by popular demand is the return of the HEINZ® “Food is Culture” Stage with cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, and more, with some of the nation’s best-known celebrity chefs and culinary thought leaders.
