Where is the festival located?

This year’s festival will be held at a new location on the scenic New Orleans Lakefront along Lakeshore Drive at Franklin Ave.

Is outside food or drink permitted?
No, there is no outside food or drink permitted inside the festival.
What is the cost of the National Fried Chicken Festival?
  • GENERAL ADMISSION: Single-day tickets will be available for $15 and weekend passes for just $20. 
  • VIP PACKAGES: This year’s festival will feature two separate VIP lounges with an allotted number of tickets available per capacity. Stay tuned for more information and pricing.

How can I get tickets to the festival?

Tickets for this year’s festival can be purchased in advance online through our website or on the day of at the front gate.

What are the times of the festival?

The National Fried Chicken Festival will take place on Saturday, October 1, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the New Orleans Lakefront. 

How do VIP ticketholders get into their designated areas?

For VIP ticket holders, please head to the box office upon arrival to pick up your VIP wristband. Wristbands will be checked in order to enter the VIP lounge.
For any ticketing issues, our box office team can help! Box offices will be located next to the entrances. Please bring a photo ID that matches the name on the ticket, and we will assist the best we can.

Can I bring my pet to the festival?
Pets are not allowed inside the festival grounds, except for service animals.
Are there things to eat besides chicken?
Yes! This year’s festival will have something for everything and feature one of our most unique and diverse food lineups to date, with menus featuring vegan options, vegetarian options, gluten-free options, and more. We promise you won’t go hungry.
What bands can I expect to see at the festival?

The National Fried Chicken Festival has bands from all over Louisiana, and even from outside the state. From DJs, to funk rock, to R&B … We have just about every type of music for our crowds to enjoy.

Are there only Louisiana restaurants participating in the National Fried Chicken Festival?
The National Fried Chicken Fest will showcase nationally-renowned restaurants from across the U.S. in 2022, including Josephine’s Kitchen from Mississippi, Pollo from Kentucky, Stuff’d from Texas, KOK Wings & Things from Lafayette, and more.
Does my ticket include food once inside the festival?

General Admission tickets only gain entry into the festival. Once inside, all food and beverages will be purchased separately.

What methods of payment will be accepted at the festival?
This year’s festival will be 100% CASHLESS. The only acceptable forms of payment on-site will include credit cards, debit cards, and/or cash app.
What am I allowed to bring into the festival?

List of restricted items:

  • Outside food and drink
  • Tents, large umbrellas
  • Ice chests
  • Weapons of any kind including firearms, pocket Knives, box cutters pepper spray (or any dangerous chemical compound) / box cutters/ sharp objects
  • Illegal substances
  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Massagers
  • Pets (with the exception of service animals)
  • Professional photo, video, or audio recording equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, big zooms, selfie sticks, or commercial-use Rigs.
  • Laser Pointers
  • Air horns, megaphones, whistles or noisemakers
  • Drones, remote-controlled aircraft or toys
  • Toy guns, water guns, slingshots
  • Projectiles such as Balls or frisbees
  • Explosives including fireworks

  • Foldable chairs
  • Sunscreen in non-aerosol containers is allowed in the size of 3.4 ounces or less
  • Personal sized Hand sanitizer
  • Picnic blankets
  • Cameras / video cameras: Consumer Grade point and shoot, polaroid, Go Pros without detachable lenses and other accessories (* monopods, selfie sticks, tripods, go pro mounts, and other attachments are not allowed)

All bags will be checked upon entering the event.
